Day care is not boarding. It is an interactive environment with dogs running and playing together. Dogs are grouped according to temperament and placed in large runs with up to 10 other dogs. Supervisors constantly observe the play in case anyone gets distressed or too boisterous. Dog day care at the Hills Veterinary Centre in Blackwood is specifically designed to decrease the risk of behavioural problems developing.
This form of play satisfies the dogs absolute requirement for exercise, social interaction, and play.
