After studying Biomedical Science and beginning a Masters in Biochemistry in 2013, I realised that I wanted a career change, so I decided to go back to school and follow my childhood dream of being a vet. I graduated as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Adelaide in 2020 and immediately got to work at Hills Veterinary Clinic, which has allowed me to follow my passion in small animal medicine.
My current interests lie in soft tissue surgery and diagnostic imaging, and I enjoy applying the problem-solving skills I learnt from both of my degrees to improve the lives of both my patients and their owners. The puppy and kitten cuddles are pretty great as well.
I grew up in Blackwood, and after spending a few years living north for my studies, I have happily returned to being an Adelaide Hills local. I currently live in Echunga with my partner and our ever-growing animal family, which currently consists of Fidget the rescue cat, Peppermint the dalmatian, horses Rose and Keely, and a flock of backyard chickens.
My hobbies include reading as many books as I possibly can, playing piano, going to live music gigs and discovering new local pubs. My partner is an equine vet and has spent their entire life around horses, so I am also learning to ride (poorly).
