Born and bred in the Adelaide Hills, Amy's love of all things outdoors and animals is evident in her enthusiastic and energetic approach to all aspects of her life. Having graduated from Murdoch University, WA, in 1997 and spending 13 years practicing in the UK, Amy returned back home to the Hills in 2013 with a wealth of experience and knowledge.
Amy is dedicated to delivering 'gold standard care' and meeting the highest possible welfare standards for the animals she treats. More than anything Amy relishes challenging medical cases as well as intricate specialised surgeries and has a special interest in feline medicine.
When she's not consulting or in surgery Amy will be found somewhere in the great outdoors, most likely knee deep in alpaca poo, repairing fences, building chook sheds, shearing alpacas or planning the next animal husbandry adventure on the hobby farm, skillfully assisted by her partner farm hand Dan!
When she does finally sit down for a moment, this will invariably involve a thorough examination of her 2 cats (thinly disguised as a display of affection) to ensure they are both in tip top condition.
Getting away from it all tends to involve lots or walking, climbing mountains, hanging off ice ledges or other epic adventures although its never long before Amy wants to be back home with her menagerie of animals.
