Lana Ferencz

I began my studies into Veterinary Nursing in 2000 while attending Urrbrae Agricultural High School. I was then employed by the Hills Veterinary Centre in 2001.

In 2007 I moved to Darwin where I worked at the Ark Animal Hospital. There I was fortunate enough to work with some very interesting species including Sea Turtles, Snakes, Birds of Prey, Frogs and Bats. I also travelled to remote indigenous communities within Kakadu to provide veterinary treatment and to assist with desexing the dogs. In 2009 I began employment at Crocosaurus Cove working in tourism and later as a member of the crocodile handling team where I worked with crocodiles ranging from 30cm to 6m.

On the banks of Vesteys beach in Darwin I married my high school sweetheart in 2009 and then returned home to Adelaide in 2010 to await the birth of my first child. I was employed at the Brighton Veterinary Hospital during this time. But I just couldn't stay away from the Hills Veterinary Centre and in 2014 I once again joined the team and currently work Monday, Wednesday and every second Saturday”

I live in Meadows with my Husband 'Nic', 5yr old son 'Lachlan', 4yr old daughter 'Matilda', 6yr old Labrador x Bull Mastiff 'Marli' and Guinea Pigs 'Ginny and Hiccup'.
